We were invited to perform an acoustic show at PAMM.
It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon at the Perez Art Museum Miami, with a light breeze drifting through the living plant columns that line the museum’s entryway.
To Be Among the Legends: Ready to learn how to play guitar?
We sat down with Nick Ramliak, the “guitar doctor" of LMSOM, to ask him some questions about what seems to be the most popular instrument.
Take this good advice by the one and only Wynton Marsalis:
"Even if practice is so important, kids find it very hard to do because there are so many distractions. Thatʼs why I always encourage them to practice and explain how to do it. Iʼve developed what I call “Wyntonʼs 12 Ways to Practice.” These will work for almost every activity – from music to schoolwork to sports." -W. Marsalis
We’re helping students develop their inner artist.
Helping students of all ages and abilities develop their inner artist is what we live for. We're making it happen in a nurturing and supportive environment that is home to Miami's fastest-growing community of musicians.
What a LIVE! Show is all about: Full house at PAX!
Outlined with timeless rock memorabilia, incandescent light projections, and an elaborate stage setup, the venue made the audience question, "Are we here for our kids, or is U2 in town?" And yes, I heard someone say that.
The atmosphere here isn’t what you’d first expect.
I learned firsthand that music was conversation, that it’s a language in and of itself that has the agency of being able to carry across an entire audience, big and bright, the same way weather can encapsulate cities and carry them across a dimension of its own. To perform was metaphysical.
How was your summer? Our bands performed amazing shows!
Because ours was awesome. We wrapped up our summer sessions in August with three successful music camps. Our kids practiced and engaged together to perform three amazing concerts at the end of each session.
