We had the privilege of seeing them perform live at a festival in Key Biscayne, and they absolutely blew us away. In fact, we're already excited to catch their next show.

Mica Tenenbaum and Matthew Lewin first joined LIVE! around 2009, where they connected with their now-drummer extraordinaire, Nick Villamizar. Alongside bassist Mariano Sarate, they formed Tabula Rasa, a high school band that pushed creative boundaries with original songwriting and composition.

Though Tabula Rasa is no more, its members remain close, with three of them now part of the dynamic, multi-layered band Magdalena Bay. Mica brings her voice, synths, and songwriting; Matthew handles guitar, bass, and production; and Nick holds it down on the drums.

Capable of teaching a pop masterclass and drawing praise from the likes of V Magazine, MTV, NYLON, Earmilk, KCRW, Clash, Gorilla Vs. Bear, Ladygunn, Substream, Atwood, The Line of Best Fit, and more, Magdalena Bay seamlessly stitch together old and new, breathing new life into the neon late-night and offbeat cinematic nostalgia of the eighties with savant-like songwriting skill to create their own handcrafted sound and vision that packages melancholic themes inside a high-gloss, otherworldly pop.
